GETTING TO POLYTECH LILLE (VILLENEUVE D’ASCQ)
Polytech Lille accessibility

Polytech Lille is a School of engineering located at the centre of a vast 110-hectare campus within a large scientific and technical pole in Villeneuve d’Ascq (next to Lille).

This School is easily accessible by public transport or by car.

By train and subway

Located just 400 meters from one another, Lille's two train stations are in the city center and are served by both the subway and the tram. 
Lille Flandres Station: “TER regional” and direct “TGV” trains to Paris, linked with Belgium trains (SNCB)

Lille Europe Station: Eurostar service to London and Brussels, direct TGV service to Roissy Airport (Paris) and all major French cities.

Amsterdam: 2h40, direct Thalys or stop by Brussels midi train station

Brussels: 38 minutes, 14 direct TGVs and Eurostars a day

Köln: 2h40, by TGV and Thalys through Brussels midi train station

London Saint Pancras: 1h20, 12 direct Eurostars a day (+ 4 Ouibus London Victoria station 4h30)

Paris (gare du Nord): 1h, 1 TGV per hour

Paris (Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport): 51 min, 15 TGVs a day

Lyon: 3h, 11 direct TGVs a day

To get to Polytech’Lille from the train stations by subway:

  • Arriving from LILLE EUROPE train station

    - Take the subway (line 2) towards “Saint Philibert”
    - Exit at the “Gare Lille Flandres” station
    - Take the line 1 subway, towards “4 Cantons-Stade Pierre Mauroy”
    - Exit at the station “4 Cantons-Stade Pierre Mauroy” (terminus)
  • Arriving from LILLE FLANDRES train station

    - Take the subway (line 1) towards “4 Cantons-Stade Pierre Mauroy”
    - Exit at the station “4 Cantons-Stade Pierre Mauroy (terminus)

From “Gare Lille Flandres” train station, you get to the station “4 Cantons-Stade Pierre Mauroy” in about 15 minutes by subway.

By plane

The Lille-Lesquin international airport is located 10 km from Lille city centre.
It serves more than 70 national and international destinations.

Lille is also situated at less than one hour by train from two international airport: Paris Charles de Gaulle (51 mn) and Bruxelles Zavantem (by train or by bus, around 1h30).

From the Lille-Lesquin airport, you can take a shuttle until the Lille city centre (bus stop sign sign "Liaison aéroport" outside the Euralille shopping center, in the immediate vicinity of the train station and the "Lille Flandres" subway/tram station). The average length of the journey is 20 minutes.

 

By car

Six motorways lead to Lille:
A1 from Paris (220 km)
A22 / E17 from Ghent (75 km), Antwerp (125 km) and Amsterdam (290 km)
A23 from Valenciennes (53 km)
A25 from Dunkerque (80 km) and the A26 from Calais (110 km)
A27 / E42 from Brussels (110 km)

There are also 7 park-and-ride centres located at key metro stations, including the station “4 Cantons - Stade Pierre Mauroy”.

To get to Polytech’Lille by car:

  • By the A1 (Paris> Lille)

- On the outskirts of Lille, follow the direction “Valenciennes - Brussels - Villeneuve d'Ascq”

- Leave the motorway at the Exit “Cité Scientifique”

  • By the motorway A23 (Valenciennes> Lille) and A27 (Brussels> Lille)

- Leave the motorway at the Exit “Cité Scientifique”

At the junction, continue straight in the direction of “Lille 1 campus”.

Once at the roundabout next to the station” 4 Cantons - Stade Pierre Mauroy”, go straight to the enter of the Polytech Lille parking.
